I got ten call from the school administration today. TEN. (How the hell did they even get my private cellphone number?) They are not happy with the fact I've missed an entire week of classes, never mind the fact I told them ahead of time I wouldn't be in class. They should be grateful I bother to show at all. For the interest of any teachers (despite the fact I've already formally submitted a letter of excuse before I left last Monday), I've been in New York the last week attending meetings. I will make up the schoolwork I missed when I'm damned well ready to.

School is... Would it had been too much to ask to be enrolled in a normal school? I'm almost convinced there's a conspiracy going on here.

Mokuba surprised me at the office with a birthday cake and presents. He also somehow managed to bully a group of employees into singing "Happy Birthday". I must admit, I enjoyed that part. They became more afraid the longer I smirked at them. I've never seen a room clear out that quickly before. I'm glad Mokuba is enjoying the birthday for me.

I shouldn't have let the shareholder strong arm me into this. This is quickly becoming a nightmare.

Kinomoto, Yamanaka, try not to get in my way.

I will say one thing. My homeroom class is an interesting one; interesting as when applied to the context of a freak show. Our "sensei", and a great part of me hesitates to call her that, made quite the impression coming into the room first thing in the morning. If she's any indication of the standard of this school, I have nothing to worry about.

I feel as if I'm the only man in the class. Some may call this heaven, but it feels like my own personal version of hell. There's something off about Fujioka, but it's not my concern. And Souma... I'm not even going to touch on that. At the very least, all of them had the good sense to keep their distance. Kinomoto and Hyuuga appear the most level-headed of the bunch, and I'm not sure what that says about the rest of them.

It's been a productive time since I got to the office though. I managed to establish initial contact with I2 just now. It's almost dinner time, which means Mokuba will here soon. I should concentrate on finishing the rest of today's work before he drags me away to eat.

It's been another long day at the office...

[Private to self]
I swear I'm surrounded by idiots. Some incompetent code monkey managed to programm an infinite loop into the project. What an unbelievably amateur mistake to make. On top of that, he neglected to test and debug the program first before running the data set though it. I'll have to talk to HR at this rate.

Mokuba is much more excited about me returning to school than I am. The brat is also being particularly smug about it, since he complained so bitterly when I first dropped out of school and he had to continue to go. He talked consistantly about all the clubs I could join. I don't have that sort of time to waste. I will be missing a good number of school days to attend meeting. The stipulation was simply that I advanced in my "education" at the appropriate rate, nothing more.

I've recently discovered something interesting though. There's a card game called Duel Monsters that's massively popular in America. It currently has no player base in Japan, but that may be something I can change. It was created by an eccentric American named Maximillan Pegasus. This may be what I've been searching for in terms of new company acquisitions.

It's been almost a year since I stepped up to the position of Kaiba Corporation's CEO. I can say with confidence that all the necessary restructuring has finally been completed. I am also currently discussing the possibility of acquiring new assets in other industry. The previous business model was stagnate at its best and unsustainable at its worst.

Well, I would like to continue to devote my time to the company.  A few key shareholders, however, has bullied me into returning to school. I am almost convinced it's to their own means. I am well beyond the age of complusory education, and frankly, I have better ways to spend my time. The problem is Mokuba agrees with them...

With that I will be returning to school once again this Monday.  There's just so much to do before then, so many loose ends to tie up. I dislike the idea of leaving the company's day to day management to someone else.

I have been assigned to class 1-A. I shall endeavor to, as they say, "play nice."
